You can visit many of these wineries on a single stretch of the road called “the Golden Mile.” This strip of land is considered to be the best place in which to grow grapes in the whole Okanagan Valley. Oliver is fortunate to have two excellent 18-hole golf courses within 10 minutes of the Town centre. Fairview Mountain Golf Course is located southwest of the municipality. Inkameep Canyon Desert Golf Course is located immediately east of the Town on 71st Street. Both facilities offer excellent golf, full services and boast new clubhouses that were completed in 2001. Also nearby (within a one hour drive) are 5 other quality courses, combining with Oliver's two courses to form Canada's Desert Links.
